QUOTE:
“I began my path toward chiropractic from my own athletic injuries. Being coached by a 4-time Olympian and having trained with several others, I have an intimate knowledge of the demands and desires athletes place on their bodies. My personal experiences of being treated by chiropractors and Active Release providers have shown me how effective such treatments can be (all without the use of drugs or surgery). Such experiences have driven me to try and excel at helping people of all skill levels maintain their fitness and training goals.

Outside of the office I try to remain balanced by playing music (bass guitar), finding some of Chicago’s great hidden eateries, watching sports, and exercising (to try and work off the calories from all the great restaurants!).

I hope to meet you soon!”

QUOTE:
“Back when I was in University in Guelph, Canada, I ended up injuring my shoulder and neck. After going through many types of therapies and many doctors that weren’t helping me, I was eventually convinced to try a local chiropractor. That doctor was the first one that was able to actually help me with my pain. I was utterly amazed at how this man was able to take away my pain just using his hands. That experience is what drove me into my current profession and led me down the path of learning everything I can about human body mechanics.

I love analyzing the motions involved with all sports. My own personal favorite sport to stay in shape right now is tennis which I play with avid addiction! I look forward to helping you get back to the activities you want to do!”

QUOTE:
“Every patient contains a truth. He will proffer the data on which diagnosis rests. The doctor must adopt a conscious humility, not towards the patient but towards the truth contained within.”
James Cyriax
Coming from a background heavily involved in athletics, particularly basketball, I had the opportunity to learn some of the amazing physical feats our bodies can accomplish. It is those experiences as NCAA student athlete that drove my passion to understand human movement, biomechanics, and anatomy. Active Release has played a major role in not just keeping me on the court during my career as an athlete, but now as a physician, being one of the major tools I use to improve the function of my patients. My model of care is one that revolves around keeping my patients active and able in the things that they love to do. I do this through means of proper patient education and a side-by-side approach to discovering the true cause of their dysfunction. In my clinical residency I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to work with a wide variety of conditions ranging from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome to post-surgical cases involving ankles, knees, backs, and many other musculoskeletal injuries.
In my spare time I love to read, golf, play basketball, and listen to music, but most importantly being a father to my one-year old son, Ashton.
I can’t wait to meet you and be a part of helping you overcome your aches and pains and get back to activities that you love!
